Absinthe Orange, probably the first and only in the world, is a classic Absinthe that also belongs to our Real Absinthe family. Real orange oils and orange flavors are added to bring fruitiness to the herbs. The color of orange absinthe is "poisonous orange". This will Louche very easily because there is orange oil on top of the oils from wormwood, aniseed, fennel and star anise.

Minimum alcohol strength = 45%
Recommended alcohol strength = 55% +

Strong alcohol is necessary for the herb oils to fully dissolve.

Absinthe Orange makes a bottle of 750ML (US 25 fl oz) Absinthe, when mixed with 60-70% (120-140 proof) vodka or Everclear. You can use 50% vodka (100 proof) but stronger is preferred. Thujone content in a 750ml bottle will be 35 mg.

The Orange Absinthe louche heavenly and taste outstandingly wonderful.

although this is the tastiest of the 4, it is the worst when it comes to the louche. i think that if you were to add a 2nd bottle of essence to the 750ml, it would be absolutely phenominal. for my personal recipe, you can check my review of the classic essence. that recipe is my personal choice for the white, orange, and classic. the 55 strong being a little more stronger abv. the orange really comes out in the aftertaste and makes for a wonderful dessert accompaniment. wonderful aromas as you open the bottle after blending. i would suggest a 24-48 hour resting period after initial blending to allow the essence to properly marry the alchohol. nevertheless a definitely great purchase. i will be buying this again in the very near future!! bravo!!
