All Absinthe will louche (cloud) and so should not be kept in a refrigerator. The aniseed oils, star anise oils and wormwood oil are not usually soluble in the cold of a refrigerator (depending on the alcohol strength in the absinthe), and this is why it is best to mix them with 50-70% (100-140 proof) vodka or Everclear. The oils are soluble in alcohol but insoluble in water, and this is why Absinthe will so beautifully louche (The original absinthe drinking ritual of La Louche) when water is added to make a drink. However serving cold can enhance the experience of drinking Absinthe.

We only sell Real Absinthe, containing wormwood oil. Most commercial Absinthe is fake so that it can be shipped to the USA. Yet most customers believe that they are buying real Absinthe. Remember that if there is no smell of wormwood, there is no wormwood!
