I was a bit reserved when I ordered this, but I have to say that it certainly didn't disappoint! I mixed it with Everclear, and it came out just fantastic! If I could change anything about this essence, it would be to take out the artificial coloring, however. Naturally, absinthe is a very lovely olive green color, so I found the addition of coloring just a bit unnecessary. Other than the food coloring, this is definitely the real deal.

I have made 14 750ml bottles using a combination of 100 proof vodka and 210 proof everclear. All of my friends love the bottles that I have produced. Every bottle that I make sits in my dark closet for at least 6 months to make sure the liquor and oils combine perfectly. Doing this makes the liquor have a sweeter flavor. I love this product.

This has a strong flavor to it straight up, so the maceration and presentation are key to a great taste. Make sure that you use a high quality 100 proof white alcohol like vodka with this. You can use other sweet white liquors with varying results as well. Put about a full shot into a glass over any flavor additions such as a sugar cube, and then pour very clean water over ice cubes slowly so that it drips into the sweetened base and louches. A lite green color and creamy taste with hints of mint and fennel are present with the wormwood. Very nice. I would easily compare this to other bottles commonly sold for 55 to 75 USD.

This is great stuff! Well worth the money. This kit will last a long time and you will certainly get your money's worth out of it. It would cost you a small fortune to purchase as many bottles of absinthe as this kit will produce. As for the absinthe itself, it is absolutely wonderful. It tastes just as good as any absinthe you will find, yet has more thujone than any absinthe you will find in the US, and more even than many imported absinthes. In short, you really will get real absinthe that louches beautifully, tastes great, and has great effects, all for a fraction of the cost! It really pays to make your own and it's fun!

Alright I rarely write reviews on anything but this is the best i have ever tried. Auditory enhancement similar but better than red-bull and vodka in my opinion. The fact that I feel like smiling and just euphoria. Stimulating relaxing/without paranoia. If you serve it to friends you can't tell visually that it was not distilled there's no herbal material in it obviously. I hate the taste of black liquorice but this is amazing. I also dislike the taste of yager which I know a lot of people would assume that this is has the same taste but at least I can tell a difference. I would highly recommend an absinthe pipe or a small stiring straw so you can get just as much in your mouth as you like this is a sipping drink people. It is possible to consume shots of absinthe 2 of my friends and my girlfriend has done it in front of me. They said they had this minty taste in the back of there throught for alot longer than 1 or 2 seconds like I do mixing with one part absinthe to 2 parts cranberry juice and 1 part orange juice. Called a traffic light. I also like one part absinthe to 3 parts orange juice. No name as far as I know for that. Ah yes a form of absinthe punch 1 shot absinthe mix it with pink lemonaid covers the taste fairly well if you dislike it. Trust if you dislike the taste the effects will be encouraging i'm assuming. If I didn't like the taste I certainly would still drink the sh--.

I have just finished my second bottle of the 55 Strong Pro and must tell you how satisfied I am with this kit. Out of the 8 or 9 kits I have tried, this one is by far the best! The louche and taste are superb and unmatched in quality. If you are considering buying one of these kits, stop wasting time and ORDER NOW! You will not be dissapointed.

I *ahem* loveeeee the stuff! Did the research and tried ALL of the so called Absinthe's that are sold in the US - yes, ALL OF THEM.... and decided that we could make better "stuff" without the loss of $$$$ and with the feel of the green fairy pecking us on our shoulders! IF you're a newb/noob buyer and you're sitting on the fence between buying from Absinthekit.com or one of them high priced so called absinthe.com, please re re re consider making your own, you won't be dissatisfied. ***PLUS*** you can always buy here and buy there and compare (if you're a sucker for punishment!!)
